Our Team

Barry serves as a founding Partner at Alexander Lievens LLP, with broad experience serving small to mid-size businesses and high net-worth individuals in federal and state income tax compliance, accounting, attestation, and consulting. Barry’s focus includes general business management consulting, individual and partnership taxation, and forensic accounting.

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas in Austin in 1975, he worked with Ernst and Ernst (now Ernst and Young LLP) for two years, and has spent most of his career in public accounting.

As a founding partner with the firm, Ron enjoys serving clients of all sizes across a variety of industries, including real estate, oil and gas, start up industries, and high net worth individuals.  His primary areas of focus include tax consulting and compliance, employee benefit consulting, and tax planning.  Ron excels at building long-term relationships with his clients and becoming a trusted business partner.  His goal with each client is to deliver excellent service.

Ron began his career with Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) in the Austin office.  He earned his BBA in accounting at St. Edward’s and his Masters of Professional Accounting degree from the University of Texas.

Brent serves as a Partner at Alexander Lievens LLP, with experience serving public and private companies in U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, accounting, and consulting. Brent’s areas of focus includes corporate and partnership income taxation, tax credits, current and deferred taxes (ASC 740), and changes of ownership (Section 382), and oil and gas exploration. Brent also focuses on financial modeling. He has consulted in projects modeling the financial and tax impact of mergers and acquisitions, ownership changes, tax credits, financial projections used in private placement memorandums, and business startup decisions.

Before joining Alexander Lievens LLP, Brent served as a tax manager at Hein & Associates LLP (now Moss Adams LLP) in Dallas area. Brent received his Bachelors of Business Administration with an emphasis on accounting from Abilene Christian University.

Chris is a partner in the firm’s audit and assurance practice.  He began his career at KPMG Dallas where he worked on publicly traded and privately held companies in the banking, investment management and real estate industries.  He then moved to PwC Austin where he continued working with publicly traded and private clients, as well as private equity funds in the lending, investment management and utilities industries.

He joined Alexander Lievens LLP in 2013 and he assists clients in the software, nonprofit, quarry and x-ray microanalysis industries.  He is involved with audit and assurance engagements such as financial statement audits, employee benefit plan audits, reviews and compilations.  Chris graduated from Baylor University with a Master of Accountancy.  He is a CPA in the State of Texas and a member of the AICPA.
